Khalifa Park

Khalifa Park

Originally a gift to the people of the Emirates, Khalifa Park was opened in 2007 by Sheikh Khalifa. Not far from Al Bateen airport ,the park is one of the city’s largest and is inspired by traditional Arab architecture and Islamic art, with large gardens, lakes, canals and waterfalls. The park offers a multitude of leisure activities for the whole family, a miniature train tours around the vicinity of the garden, the Maritime Museum showcases the history of Abu Dhabi, a theme park offers rides for adults and children and a time tunnel monorail takes visitors back in time to prehistoric times. There is also a Mosque on the grounds and three gardens, one for women and children, one with water features and a serene Islamic garden.
